FOUNDING BACKGROUND

Isalakutshelwa Arts, Heritage & Recreation is an art-performing (on-stage) theatre agency foundered by young people whose utmost determination is the preservation of African heritage, culture and customs. We believe that we cannot enrich our people if we do not genuinely uphold that which defines us – our heritage.

We are striving to ignite the art revolution that will extricate countless young people from poverty by encouraging them to transform their creative abilities into sustainable employment – this, we believe, would have a salutary impact on the levels of poverty facing budding artists.
