Isalakutshelwa Arts, Heritage & Recreation as briefly touched on in the preceding section (Company History), is an art-promotion and art-performing agency whose prime objective is to locate, unearth and impart skills to nascent artists in the ensuing genres: traditional music and Africa’s cultural dances in their diversities.



The agency vaunts capacity-building workshops geared towards sharpening young people’s artistic abilities, etc. Conceptualised as a national arts, culture and heritage-promotion agency, Isalakutshelwa Arts, Heritage & Recreation is a registered non-profit organization – registered in terms of the NPO Act (Act No 71 of 1997) as 1 stipulated by the Department of Social Development (DSD) in the Republic of South Africa.
It seeks to embolden young people to use their artistic abilities to embrace and further Africa’s cultural heritage. Exploiting the tried and tested skills of veteran art performers; the organization creates opportunities for disadvantaged young people to share their creative skills, or that which they’ve inherited from their forebears, with the world.
